MEXICO MISSIONS TRIP MEETING TODAY AFTER SECOND SERVICE
We are planning a short term missions trip to Tecate, Mexico on the weekend of January 23rd-25th.  Those who are interested in going please attend today’s meeting upstairs in the Children’s Room for important information regarding the trip.  If you have any questions, please see Mike Figueroa. 

MEN’S BIBLE STUDY AND DINNER THIS TUESDAY, JANUARY 6TH, AT 6:30PM
Join us for food, fellowship and the Word of God.

WEDNESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY
The Wednesday morning bible study will resume this week at 10:30am.  Come join us!

WARM UP WHITTIER THIS THURSDAY AT 10:00AM
We will meet to assemble afghans for residents of nursing homes. 

YOUNG MARRIED COUPLES’ STUDY ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 9TH, AT 6:00PM
Come and be exhorted in your young marriage!  Child care will be provided.  This month’s study will be at the Schaffer’s home.  Please sign up in the lobby.  Call Nick Messina at church office with any questions. 

PRAYER ROOM COUNSELORS MEETING NEXT SUNDAY, JANUARY 11TH
All current prayer counselors as well as anyone interested in serving in the prayer room ministry please attend the meeting to work out plans for 2009.  Meet after second service in the sanctuary at 12:15.  See Bobby Rubio with any questions. 

SUMMER PHILIPPINES MISSION TRIP MEETING NEXT SUNDAY, JANUARY 11TH
We will be having a show of interest meeting for a tentative trip in July 2009.  Please pray to see if the Lord is calling you to go and come to the meeting next week after second service upstairs in the Children’s Room.  If you have any questions, please contact Mike or Laura Figueroa. 

TAKING A STAND FOR LIFE
As we approach the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade and the change in presidential leadership we will be focusing in on the sanctity of life through a series of testimonies and events.  Plan ahead to attend our “Night of Worship and Intercession” on Friday, January 16th.  Ladies, we have a special “Tea” planned just for you on Saturday morning, January 17th.  More information to come. 

BID FAREWELL TO THE SOOVAJIANS ON SATURDAY, JANUARY 17TH, AT 6:00PM
Jason, Mandy, Ryon and Samuel are moving to the Ukraine on January 20th to minister there.  Bring your favorite comfort food to our “Winter Wonderland” send off dinner for the Soovajian family.  Sign ups begin today. 

MOTHER AND DAUGHTER NIGHT OUT ON JANUARY 23RD AT 6:00PM
Mothers and daughters of all ages are invited to come to this evening of testimonies, dinner, and making a craft.  The cost is $7 and you can see Andrea Rubio to sign up. 

BIBLICAL ANSWERS TO FALSE CLAIMS OF MORMONISM ON SATURDAY, JANUARY 24TH AND 31ST (MAY ADD FEBRUARY 7TH) AT 8:00AM - 9:00AM
Mormonism offers a counterfeit gospel and many of our neighbors believe its false claims to be Biblical.  In this class we’ll examine Mormonism’s claims of being the “only true church.”  Sign up in the lobby.
